Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The Lobster Pot stands out with its commitment to local seafood, drawing in diners keen on fresh catches. Popular dishes, like the beer-battered fish and chips and the succulent lobster rolls, consistently earn high praises. Coffee aficionados will appreciate their well-crafted cups, ideal for starting the day or enjoying with dessert.

Outdoor seating allows patrons to relish the coastal breeze, making it a favorite spot for brunch on sunny days. The casual vibe encourages lingering over meals, promoting community and conversation. When locals recommend a place, it’s usually worth a visit.

Most Disliked

Peak hours can lead to a considerable wait, especially during Sunday brunch or late lunches. While the food generally compensates for this, some diners may find the wait times off-putting. A few patrons mentioned instances of less-than-ideal service during busy periods, suggesting that staff can occasionally be under pressure, which might detract from the overall experience.

Also, those with more specific dietary restrictions may find the menu somewhat limiting, as it leans heavily on seafood and standard café fare. As with any popular eatery, consistency can be an issue, as peak times might result in varying preparation quality.

A lovely little café situated around a ten minute walk from Butlins where we were staying for the week. We fancied eating outside the holiday park for a change and ended up here for breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive, the venue was well cleaned and cared for, and the food was excellent. We'll be back for lunch before we go home next week.

I’m pretty sure The Lobster Pot could single-handedly ruin my diet — and I’m okay with that. The seafood box was so good it made me question my life choices up until this meal. We shared one (generously, I might add) and got extra fries because self-control is overrated. Only small hiccup: I witnessed one of the servers get a bit snappy with a customer, and for a moment. It was busy though, so fair enough — I’d be stressed too if I was surrounded by that many hungry seafood lovers. All in all, amazing food and would 100% return for another round of edible happiness. 🦞🍟

Attended the lobster pot for the first time with family! Highly recommend this independent local restaurant! Fresh seafood brought in daily, changing specials and lovely staff. Food was so fresh & delicious and reasonably priced too. Will definitely go back if I revisit this area

We were just here on Monday during half term so I’m sure it’s busier than usual. The staff are super nice, the food was a good portion and tasty. The view is amazing. There’s options to seat inside and outside. The menu has a lot of options from breakfast/ brunch to small plates and mains. They have a kids menu too and well behaved dogs are most welcome.

The Lobster Pot truly embodies the spirit of a 'quaint little' seaside eatery. Nestled right on the Bognor Regis seafront, it offers picturesque views that perfectly complement the fresh, delicious food. You can hear the waves while enjoying their impressive seafood selection, particularly the dressed crab which is a real highlight. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch. A delightful find for anyone seeking a true taste of the coast."

The food was great and there was a wide selection available. We had to book a table in advance for the evening meal which starts at 5pm. The restaurant/ cafe closes at 7pm and I can understand that as due to the place being quite open, it must get very cold the later it gets. We went at 5pm and it was very quiet. Had more of a cafe feel to it, rather than a restaurant but it is still very quaint nonetheless. Highly recommended.
